I make small [sometimes large]carved items: boxes, buttons, [sewing and leather],carvings of animals, plants, dragons,gnomes,unicorns, and other mythological and magickal creatures. I also make pendants, organic pierceings, sticks for walking and pointing and brushing away ticks, snakes and other annoying phenomena, letter openers, knife handles,[sometimes, knives, made from every thing from bone to steel],and whatever else inspires me.
I utilize antique and fossil ivories, traditional carving woods like pear and box, fruit woods, and native woods like manzanita and mountain mahogany. I will sometimes use ebony or vegetable ivory, and, very rarely, recycled tropical hardwoods. Since one picture is worth a thousand words, here follow thousands of words. Enjoy.
